Bob Hatley is a 1972 Graduate of Appalachian State University. He worked for Wachovia Bank from 1972-1986 in Wake County.
He spent 10 years with Centura Bank before leaving in 1998 to found Paragon Bank in
Raleigh NC.
He served as CEO from the 1999 inception until the bank was sold in January 2018.
He retired from the acquirer, TowneBank, on 1-31-19.

Together with Bill Cameron, Scott co-founded Cameron Management to manage the investments of the Cameron family businesses. During his time at Cameron Management, Scott was very active in the community most notably serving as chairman of the Louise Wells Cameron Art Museum, the Wilmington Business Development Committee of 100, and The Historic Wilmington Foundation. Scott continues to serve as President of the Bruce B. Cameron Family Foundation and will continue to remain active in philanthropic and charitable endeavors benefiting the Wilmington area.
